Where have you been, Shae?

I know. It's been a long time. I don't have a valid excuse. Life? I don't know. Sometimes life just swoops in and takes you on a whirlwind and you forget to do the things.

Let's face it, the last two years have been a ride for everyone. Most days, I don't think any of us even remember what "normal" is. But this year, I plan to try and redefine what that is.

2021 was busy. No, I didn't write that much. It wasn't for lack of trying. It was just that life kept me busy and I kept saying, when I finish this.... We all know how that goes, right?

So what was I doing? Well, we bought a house. We've been working on remodeling and getting it the way we want. I also got married. That was definitely the highlight of 2021 for sure. We've been together FOREVER, but it was nice to finally do the thing and say the words and have the moment. It feels really nice and I'm loving the subtle difference of actually being married to my best friend.

I have been writing. I just felt stuck in a lot of ways. Sometimes the flow just seems to dry up and you have to work harder at it. It's frustrating and it's a lonely place to be. But I promise I'm powering through.

I am nearing the finish line with Carter (Book 2 in the Berkshire Boys Series.) I have the final two books mostly plotted out too. I also have a couple of stand alone that I'm excited about and a whole new series I've just finished outlining. So I have lots of plans.

Thank you for sticking with me. For being patient and for always giving me and my characters a chance when we come back around. I'm hoping 2022 will bring us all a lot of new words.

Till next time,

Shae
